Mustang Energy Center – 701 N. Mustang Plant Road, OKC, OK 73127
Mustang Energy Center is formerly known as the Mustang Power Plant. Originally constructed in 1950 in West OKC, the original units have been retired and were replaced with natural gas, simple cycle combustion turbines in 2018. The generation capacity is around 400 MW. The new units can reach peak power in 10 minutes, compared to up to 22 hours for the old units. Mustang Energy Center also has fixed and tracking solar panels that can generate about 2.5 MW. The tracked solar location is on the far North end of the property and fixed Solar is located on the South side of the property.
