DESCRIPTION:The Electric Power Infrastructure Club of Oklahoma\nis proud to host you at its February 13\, 2024 Meeting \n[If your company is interested in sponsoring this event\, register for the Meeting Host Sponsorship]\nA Public Power Perspective\nby guest speaker \n  \n \nDan Sullivan\nPresident/Chief Executive Officer\nGrand River Dam Authority \nDan Sullivan is the President/Chief Executive Officer for the Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) and has served in that position since December 1\, 2011. \nAt GRDA\, Sullivan oversees a diverse electric generation portfolio of hydro\, coal\, wind and natural gas resources which includes Oklahoma’s first hydroelectric facility (Pensacola Dam) as well one of the most efficient combined cycle gas generation units in the world\, GRDA Unit 3. \nIn his GRDA leadership role\, Sullivan is an advocate for low-cost electricity generation as well as using the resources of GRDA for economic development across Oklahoma. He is also a voice for GRDA and Oklahoma public power on the national level as the immediate past Chair of the Large Public Power Council (LPPC) Board of Directors. \nPrior to his service to GRDA\, Sullivan practiced law in Tulsa for 23 years and was a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives for District 71 in Tulsa for 7 years. During his tenure in the Oklahoma House of Representatives Sullivan served as Majority Floor Leader in 2006 and 2011. His major accomplishments in the Legislature resulted in significant reform in the Worker’s Compensation and Lawsuit areas. \nSullivan graduated from Wagoner High School in 1981 and attended Northeastern State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also earned a law degree at the University of Tulsa College of Law. Sullivan and his wife\, Melanie\, have one son\, Joseph\, and one daughter\, Cora. Since then\, he’s held roles in Bridge Division; Traffic Division; Maintenance in ITS and Fiber Optics and Environmental Programs Division\, Assistant to the Director of Capital Programs\, and Division Manager of the Rails Programs. His current position is the Multi-Modal Division Manager. \nIn 2007\, Schwennesen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. In 2008\, He went on to earn his Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering from OU and joined ODOT soon after. Additionally\, he gained his professional engineering license in 2012. Having worked as a manager and designer in a diverse group of ODOT divisions\, Schwennesen is prepared to lead the Multi-Modal Division as it seeks to improve Oklahoma’s passenger and freight rail systems. \nIn Schwennesen’s time at the department\, he has contributed to special initiatives such as the update of ODOT’s Strategic Plan\, the rollout of OKroads.org\, installation of electric vehicle charging stations\, grant applications and bundling projects. Before coming to OKIE811\, she worked as Chief Operations Officer with Girl Scouts; as Information Technology Director with Oklahoma Department of Human Services\, as Risk Information Manager with Fleming Companies; and in banking with First National Bank of Midwest City. She serves as board chair of a new international association for One-Call Notification Centers. DESCRIPTION:is proud to sponsor the \nInaugural Meeting\nof the \nElectric Power Infrastructure Club\nof Oklahoma\n\nDonnie Jones\nVice President\, Utility Operations\nOklahoma Gas and Electric Company\n\nDonnie Jones serves as Vice President of Utility Operations for Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company. He joined OG&E in June 2008 as the Strategy Implementation Manager and was named Vice President of Power Supply Operations in July 2015. He then assumed the role of VP of Utility Operations on November 4\, 2019. \nPrior to joining OG&E Donnie worked for Dupont\, Conoco\, and ConocoPhillips. Working in Wood River\, Illinois\, Los Angeles\, California and Houston\, Texas. \nJones graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree from Fontbonne University. \nThroughout his professional career\, he has been active in numerous civic and community organizations and currently serving on the board of directors for the Advanced Science and Technology Education Charter School\, YMCA of Oklahoma City\, and the Last Frontier Council\, Boy Scouts of America. He is also a Leadership Oklahoma member. \nDonnie and his wife Jennifer reside in Oklahoma City and they have two adult daughters who live in the OKC Metro as well. \n\nPlease make sure you see the notes at the bottom of the page – they are important! \nMeeting Logistics\nWe’ll be meeting only IN PERSON. \nCheck-In\n\n\n\nCheck in using a technology we’ve all become familiar with – a QR Code (see photo to the right). Upon payment and registration completion you will receive a “ticket” in your email that includes a QR Code (similar to the one shown right). Please have that email (or QR Code) pulled up on your mobile device as you prepare to check in to speed up the process. Your code will be scanned at the registration desk and you’ll be checked in. Once checked in\, you can pick up your name tag and drink tickets. Note: that the QR Code is specific to your registration for this meeting and will not work otherwise. Also\, if you purchased Drink Tickets you will also get QR Codes for them\, too.
